Who we hire

All of our personal training staff are CPR / AED certified and are hired with a nationally accredited certification or a four year bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Many have both and even Master’s level education. Above all, we bring on team member’s that are genuinely passionate about helping member achieve their specific health and fitness goals.

In addition to our high bar in hiring, we further prepare our staff to offer top level programming through our comprehensive internal education programming. All staff goes through a curriculum that educates them on advanced assessment, programming and coaching techniques which spans over the course of 72 hours of course work.

We have staff available every hour that the club is open and with many growth opportunities and a team oriented approach, you will always find a dynamic and supportive interaction between members and staff.

WHETHER YOU ARE BRAND NEW TO EXERCISE OR YOU ARE A SEASONED FITNESS ENTHUSIAST, OUR NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION IS DESIGNED TO MAXIMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE RIGHT FROM THE ONSET.

Your first appointment is focused on goal setting and completing some simple fitness assessments including a functional movement screening designed to determine how best to create your program. Your second appointment is designed to introduce you to the program created based on the information collected in your first session. After being on a consistent program for 6-8 weeks, you should speak to a trainer to make an appointment for a program review.

TRAINER CATEGORIES

TIER I

Our trainers are hired with the primary role of servicing the members of the fitness floor and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. All trainers are required to be CPR/AED certified, hold a nationally accredited certification or bachelor’s degree in exercise science.

TIER II

Advanced promotion to Tier Two is attained through taking 72 hours of additional company education and a proven track record of client results. Tier Two trainer’s schedules are typically in high demand.

TIER III

Tier Three Trainers have thousands of hours of experience under their belt and have the most advanced knowledge with regards to safety, programming methods and coaching skills. They are a leader and mentor trainer to other staff and are not only the top level trainer in the club but also the fitness industry.

Trainer Specialist

Our Training Specialists are Tier III trainers with higher-level degrees or certifications which allow them to prescribe advanced assessments and programming to further member results. Examples include Certified Health Coaches, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists, USAW Olympic and Triathlon Coaches, T.P.I Golf Specialists, Masters level degrees and staff with advanced knowledge working with chronic disease populations.

One on One

Our one on one personal training programs are the ultimate way to supplement your membership experience and ensure that you are track to accomplish your goals in the safest and most efficient way. Your personal trainer will design and continuously modify a program customized just for you based on your needs and preferences. Both motivator and coach, your personal trainer is in your corner and they are invested as much in your success as you!

Semi-Private

Semi Private training is when two people with similar schedules share one session of training together. Typically, each participant will have similar goals but this does not have to be the case as many people train together for the camaraderie. This program combines the individual attention of private training at a reduced cost.

Small Group Training (SGT)

S.G.T. combines all of the great aspects of a group fitness class with the individualized attention of personal training. It is a true hybrid program that allows for specific attention to form and quick progression through exercises while still maintaining the energy, fun and team environment of group exercise.

Aquakinetics Training

The Aquakinetics program was developed to enhance training in the pool. Utilizing specialized equipment, you can advance though customized intensity levels while benefiting from the safety and challenge of a water environment. Whether you have achy joints, are a performance athlete or are looking to tone and lose some weight, this program has everything for you. Offered in both private and small group formats.

Sports Performance Training

Sports Performance Specialists offer increased testing and programming specific to the athlete across a broad range of sports, competitions and recreation. Their increased specialization is aimed at increasing performance while reducing the risk of injury through advanced assessments and programming.

Health and Nutrition Coaching (Coming Soon!)

Health Coaching is a vehicle for helping people achieve a higher level of performance and well-being in their life. Coaching is a growth-promoting relationship that elicits autonomous motivation, increases the likelihood of change, and facilitates the process of change through visioning, goal-setting, self-discovery, accountability and client-generated solutions and strategies.
The role of a Health Coach has never been more important than it is right now. Overwhelming amounts of research and data show that we are a society that struggles with engaging in health-promoting behaviors, now, more than ever before.
