Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and movement science, with a Minor in nutrition and food sciences, from the University of Vermont. She successfully interned at the University of Vermont Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation. Emily is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She earned her Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association.
She specializes in creating safe, effective fitness programs for those dealing with health issues, specifically cardiac and pulmonary patients. Her experience also includes working with individuals who have multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injuries. When not at the Center, Emily works as an exercise physiologist at a local hospital in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation unit.
