Fitness Field Day at Metlife Stadium Recap

Over 1300 people visited MetLife Stadium on Saturday to take part in Fitness Field Day, an event to introduce HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Powered by the Giants, a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center coming to Route 17 in Maywood the end of December. Doors opened at 9:00am, and guests were welcomed by staff of the new Center, Hackensack University Medical Center and Giants Alumni Bart Oates, Stephen Baker “The Touchdown Maker”, Lee Rouson, Ottis Anderson, Billy Taylor and Curtis McGriff.

Some attendees were able to play like a pro by taking turns at the Punt, Pass and Kick event in the end zone, while others took advantage of free health screenings offered by Hackensack University Medical Center including cholesterol, bone density, grip strength and more. Duane Read, a Walgreens company, offered flu shots to attendees. Kids of all ages explored Metlife Stadium and participated in races, obstacle courses, and other fun activities, as well as face painting and a first class magic show by Elliot the Super Magic Man.  The crowd along with the Giants alumni boogied to Zumba™ and BodyJAM™. A number of the guests also participated in sports performance training activities including kettle bells, TRX Suspension Training, agility drills and much more.
